GreenPrice, a social enterprise based in Hong Kong, is tackling the pressing issue of food waste by redistributing best-before products. The company's supply chain model connects suppliers, businesses, and consumers to promote sustainable consumption. While actively attempting to solve the issue of food waste in the region, GreenPrice encounters challenges in changing the public’s traditional perception of best-before products and encouraging conscious consumer choices.
The case study explores GreenPrice’s ambition to reduce food waste and strengthen a commitment to environmental responsibility through business-to-business strategic partnerships while facing its struggles related to customers’ perception of purchasing and consuming near-expiry products.
