Abstract

Kuaikan Manhua, a prominent online comic platform in China, has revolutionized the way comics are consumed and created. Founded by Anni Chen, the company capitalized on the growing popularity of smartphones and the evolving preferences of young readers by leveraging big data analytics, tailoring content recommendations, and ensuring a personalized experience for each reader. Kuaikan Manhua made reading comics on mobile devices a seamless and enjoyable experience and fostered a vibrant community for both readers and creators.

The case study explores the business model behind Kuaikan’s growth and success, as well as the challenges it faced such as intense competition and regulatory hurdles. The case study also highlights Kuaikan’s company's focus on innovation, user experience, and creator support has enabled it to thrive in a rapidly changing digital landscape.
