Phoenix Petroleum has emerged as a significant player in the Philippine energy sector, offering diverse energy solutions and leveraging strategic growth initiatives. Despite its early successes, the company has faced substantial financial distress, recording cumulative losses of US$119.5 million from 2021 to mid-2023. These losses were attributed to declining sales volumes, escalating debt, and adverse market conditions. These challenges prompted Phoenix to implement cost-cutting measures, streamline operations, and explore drastic solutions like layoffs to stabilize its financial position.
