Abstract

Raya Heritage, a boutique hotel in Chiang Mai, Thailand, blends Lanna cultural traditions, eco-friendly practices, and upscale hospitality to create a unique guest experience. The case study delves into the hotel's strategic efforts to appeal to a diverse customer base, including Asian and Western travelers.

It highlights the challenges and opportunities associated with catering to varying cultural preferences, such as accommodating different dining habits, preferences for shared spaces, and perceptions of sustainability. 

The study also explores the importance of effective communication and cultural sensitivity in managing high-end customers from different cultural backgrounds. Learners are invited to explore the complexities of cultural diversity and propose practical solutions while preserving the hotel’s unique character and commitment to responsible luxury.
