MR.DIY, Malaysia’s leading home improvement retailer, has transformed the retail sector with its "Always Low Prices" philosophy. This case study explores MR.DIY’s rapid expansion from a single store in Kuala Lumpur in 2005 to thousands of branches across Asia and Europe. It also examines the company's ability to maintain low prices while ensuring quality through direct sourcing, bulk purchasing, and data-driven logistics.
Despite its growth, MR.DIY faces challenges such as supply chain dependencies, currency fluctuations, and global inflation. The study explores the company’s adaptive measures, like flexible pricing and operational agility, to address these issues. It invites learners to evaluate MR.DIY’s strategies for maintaining competitive pricing, managing global supply chains, and expanding into new markets while staying true to its core values.
