This case study examines the factors behind the country’s significance in medical tourism and competitive advantages, while exploring the evolving challenges facing the industry, particularly geopolitical uncertainty and intensifying competition from neighboring countries. It encourages learners to evaluate Thailand’s strategic options for maintaining its position as a global medical tourism hub while reducing vulnerability to external shocks and responding effectively to changing market dynamics and intensifying international competition.
